2021 COS CEO Leadership Lessons: Susan Wheelan, El Paso County Public Health

Susan Wheelan’s passion for making a measurable impact in the community drew her to a career in public health in 1999 when she joined the El Paso County Public Health Department as an environmental health specialist. Now serving as the agency’s director, Wheelan’s innovative leadership and her ability to be nimble, flexible, strategic and collaborative has consistently driven necessary change in the community while leaving a lasting impact on the public health landscape. She will discuss how her team is spearheading efforts to provide the community with the latest information and safety protocols during the pandemic.
